The Atlanta Swing Classic is more than just an event - it is the result of decades of passion, community, and dedication to swing dancing in Atlanta. Our story began in 1995, when a small group of dancers came together to build the Atlanta Swing Dancers Club, a federally recognized 501(c) nonprofit organization focused on connection, education, and the growth of swing dancing. As the community grew, so did our vision.
In 2006, Atlanta Swing Dancers Club brought that vision to life by hosting the first Atlanta Swing Classic - a weekend designed to bring dancers together for workshops, social dancing, and shared experience.

The Atlanta Swing Dancers Club was built on a simple idea: create a space where dancers feel welcomed, supported, and inspired, no matter their experience or goals. That philosophy defines the Atlanta Swing Classic.
We are: Welcoming to all - social dancers, competitors, learners, and everyone in between. Community-driven - built by dancers, for dancers. Hospitable by design - where attendees are treated as guests, not just customers. Focused on experience - creating moments that bring people together.
The Atlanta Swing Classic continues to grow with intention - maintaining its quality, its culture, and its identity as a place where people come not just to dance, but to connect. Because at its core, the Atlanta Swing Classic is about creating memories, friendships, and momentum that last well beyond the weekend.
