Leadership & Event Team

Dani is an All-Star dancer and teacher based in the Boston area. She trained in ballet from the ages of 3-18, and then danced salsa in her college years. Then in 2011, Dani discovered West Coast Swing on YouTube, took a lesson, and never looked back. Dani travels the circuit and works at events as the Contest Coordinator, a Floor Coordinator, Registration Director, or really whatever else the ED would like her help with. More recently, she's been picking up the mic and dabbling in the Emcee world. When Dani isn't at events, she's busy running her own business (Dani D. Consulting) or being a Mom to her 2 kiddos.

My journey into west coast swing began in 1998. I was in my 30's when I attended my first convention. I fell in love with the commemoratory and the social aspect and began competing at conventions within the next year. In 2005 or so I began working the events. My first event was Capital Swing as Floor Mom (Can’t say I loved that title). When I started as Floor Mom, things were still done on paper and by hand. I currently compete and work 16-18 events a year. My most rewarding achievement to date was reaching WSDC Allstar in my 50's. The best part of working as Floor Coordinator is all the energy, excitement, and passion that the contestants bring to the event. I look forward to seeing y’all in line!!

Rich hails from Alpharetta, Georgia and has been a driving force in the Atlanta swing dance community since 1995. He has served as President of both the Atlanta Swing Dancers Club and the American Bop Association helping shape their growth and direction. His contributions have been recognized at the highest levels: he was inducted into the American Bop Association Hall of Fame in 1999 and later into the National Living Legends of Dance in 2015. Always willing to volunteer when needed, Rich oversees the Atlanta Swing Classic registration.
